TERRORISM, ISLAM & URDU FICTION (A Critical Study)
Abstract
This Article is an answer to a basic research question that how international narrative about Islam and terrorism has been explained in Urdu fiction? While answering to this question, a few more questions were also taken into consideration, including weather Urdu fiction has preserved historical facts and weather it reflects the facts in an emotional way? According to the author, Urdu fiction not only reflects stories of terrorism, but also finds out the reasons behind it. According to him, the motive behind terrorism started from incident of 9/11 was an international conspiracy to prove a strong connection between terrorism and Islam. However, after passage of 19 years, efforts vested in proving Islam as a terriorst religion have failed and Islamic view against terrorism is very clear. Sayings of the prophet Muhammad PBUH and his way of life reflect importance of the peace and humanitarian attachments. Urdu fiction, while being the fiction, reflects all historical facts regarding the terrorism.
