Any all-encompassing and everlasting struggle revolving around the call for God and religion is called Islamic movement whose central responsibility is to train and prepare such individuals who, instead of being slaves of their parochial interests, fulfill their duties with respect to God’s rights, and play their role to defend the rights of people. This article examines to what extent contemporary Islamic movements have succeeded in this regard. The most important thing for a viable reformation is the consistent process of educating and training which is linked with the Quran, the Sunnah, Islamic rituals, and rights of human beings. Contemporary Islamic movements may be successful in this process only through hard struggle.
