حسنین شریفینؑ کا رسول اللہ ﷺسے انتساب مفسرین کی نظر میں
Abstract
In Islam, the personalities of uswa (role model) have a special significance. According to the Quran, the greatest role model of Islam is the Holy Prophet. After him, some other noble personalities are role models by divine ordinance and the practice of the Prophet. Among the personalities are Imam Hasan and Imam Hussain (peace be upon both of them). Some researchers and exegetists, from both Shia and Sunni branch of Islam, call them as ‘sons’ of the noble Prophet. In this article, an attempt has been made to see whether the practice of calling Husnain as sons and progeny of the Prophet is a religious fact or just a customary ascription. The issue has been analyzed in juxtaposing it with the view of some of the Shia and Sunni exegetists. Finally, it has been proved that relating Husnain to the Prophet as his ‘sons’ is a religious fact.
