Abstract
Human beings have been direct to contemplate and ponder since they are provided with reason and rationality. The Difference of opinion is an inevitable outcome of this very fact. If all people had been identical in their thinking, the gate of researds would have closed. In this article, the difference between Shia and Sunni scholars on the verse of Istikhlaf of Sura Toba has been critically evaluated. It has been said about the verse that in response to a person. The Holy Prophet said, after some years every once of you will be able to live his life without Weapons and Muslims will gain domination soo; the Prophet said this is a time when Muslims were living in fear in the early ten years after the first revelation. For sover exegesists, this verse is related to the companions of the Holy Prophet who come to power with the victory of Islam. Some after exegesists have maintained that the verse is related to the era of the first four ealiph. For some other exegesists, this verse is about the government of Imam Mahdi, in whese rule Islam will dominate the whole world.
