Abstract
Allah Almighty has provided human beings with both material and spiritual requirements. According to Islam, a role model is indispensible for the fulfillment of human needs. Allah has, therefore, bestowed upon every nation guides (Hadi) as prophets. As the previous prophets and their religions were unable to fulfill the eternal needs of human beings, a final prophet with a religion was given to human beings. The Holy Prophet, therefore, said, “Every prophet was sent to his own nation, while I have been sent for all blacks and whites”. According to the prophetic sayings the chain of prophethood ended in the person of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). The Holy Prophet (PBUH) has been called as an excellent role model for all human beings by Allah. Uswa-e-Hasna is a complete system and a model of life. Given that it is the eternal source of guidance, it is beyond the limits of time and space. The prophetic sayings (hadith) include all the events and happenings of the era of the prophet. No Muslim can please God without rendering complete obedience to the Prophet (PBUH). In this paper an attempt has been made to show that the events of Sirah form a living reality which, if followed, can solve the problems of human life. These events constitute a practical model that can be used to minimize the difficulties of the present and the coming era. The study of these events can open new ideological, scientific, technical and spiritual horizons for human beings.
